The Canadian Improv Showcase is a professional touring comedy improv troupe that specializes in short-form or game-style entertainment.
The show format is similar to the popular, long-running TV series "Whose Line is it Anyway?"
A typical performance is sixty to ninety minutes long, made up of different scenes ranging from thirty seconds to seven or eight minutes in length.
The show is 100% unscripted and guided by audience suggestions and participation - so, you never see the same show twice!
However, it is important to note that the Canadian Improv Showcase does not pick on their audience! Other groups have a track record of ridiculing their audiences, picking on people in the front row and even reducing them to tears. That is not our style. Our style is more classic vaudville in nature than edgy stand-up.
Even though our showcase is completely improvised, we can perform for any audience. We give our clients or venues complete content control. If you want a family friendly show, you've got it! If you want an adults-only, over-the-top performance: we can do that too. After doing educational workshops with children as young as 3 and seniors performances for those as old as 103, we can perform for any group! Just give us direction during the booking process and you will not be disappointed.
